David Waters, General Manager & Director of Golf

David joined The Club at Castiglion del Bosco in 2016, bringing with him more than 25 years’ experience in the golf and hospitality industries.

A PGA Professional, David started his career at Sunningdale Golf Club, UK, before becoming Head Professional and then Golf Manager at Verdura Resort Sicily.

David lives in Montalcino with his Italian wife and two young children.

Joe Banks, Operations Manager & Head PGA Golf Professional

Joe leads the running of The Club’s Golf Operations and is our fully-qualified PGA Golf Professional.

Joe moved to Castiglion del Bosco in 2022, bringing with him strong professional expertise from his time in the Middle East working at clubs and destinations including Yas Acres Golf & Country Club, Yas Links and Saadiyat Beach, in Abu Dhabi.

Fabio Iacomino, Golf Operations Supervisor

Fabio has a wealth of customer service experience and strong team leadership skills.

Originally from Naples, Fabio loves his role at Castiglion del Bosco where he successfully uses his people management skills and operational knowledge to ensure your golf experience is of the very highest quality.   

Francesco Bracciali, Golf Operations Assistant

Francesco graduated in Golf Management at the Italian Golf School in Rome and went on to gain PGA Teaching Professional status in 2022.

A native of Tuscany with over a decade’s experience in the golf industry, Francesco is dedicated to creating a strong sense of belonging for Castiglion del Bosco Members.

Andrea Morosetti, Golf Operations Assistant

Andrea has loved golf from a very early age and has played the game since he was a child living in Perugia.

He subsequently pursued his passion for golf as a career and successfully attended the Italian Golf Federation’s school, where he gained a Director of Golf Diploma in 2022.

Lorenzo Giovanardi, Golf Operations Trainee

Lorenzo is passionate about golf and has been playing since he was five.

Recently graduating with a first-class honours degree in Applied Golf Management Studies from Birmingham University in the United Kingdom, he arrives at The Club with seasonal work experience from two leading Italian golf resorts, and with a passion for PGA golf coaching.

Ferdinando Rossi, Golf Operations Assistant

Ferdinando has been an important part of our Golf Operations team since 2020.

Originally from Florence, he is well travelled and has always worked in roles that have allowed him to embrace either of his two great passions, sport and sailing.

Guido Fattoi, Golf Operations Coordinator

Guido has been a familiar face at Castiglion del Bosco since 2018, and is hugely passionate about The Club’s beautiful surroundings and the rolling Tuscan landscape.

He lives a short drive away in Buonconvento.

Martina Esposito, Membership Coordinator

Martina, who was born in the ancient city of Salerno in southern Italy, fell in love with Tuscany after studying tourism in the region, and subsequently decided to stay.

She has previously worked within concierge teams at leading luxury hotels, and has a genuine passion for travel, hospitality and tourism.

Loris Fanella, Executive Chef

Loris has 15 years’ experience as a professional chef, and has expert knowledge of Tuscan and Umbrian (where he was born) cuisine.

He also has international experience, having worked as chef de partie at a leading hotel in Atlanta, USA. When he is not creating exquisite dishes for Members and guests, you might find Loris playing billiards.

Davide Botticini, Restaurant Supervisor

Davide has global experience of working in restaurants and has been an important member of our team since 2017.

He is hugely passionate about the Tuscan lifestyle and its landscapes, and when he is not working, Davide enjoys spending time outdoors, or at home, with his family.

Alberto Ponziani, Restaurant Assistant

Alberto has a passion for wine that has taken him on trips around the world. His life-long fascination for food, wine and hospitality began at the tender age of 15.

A former first sommelier, Alberto has previously been entered into the ‘35 Sommeliers under 35’ Awards in Italy.

Stefania Iacomino, Restaurant Assistant

Stefania is a trained sommelier and, as you might expect, her two great loves are wine and food. She is also qualified in the art of cheese tasting.

When she is not putting her professional expertise into practice, Stefania loves nothing more than exploring the Val d’Orcia with her husband and five-year-old son.

Stefano Inocenti, Kitchen Assistant

Stefano is a new addition to our food and beverage team and joins us with strong industry experience.

When he is not helping the kitchen team with important day-to-day activities, he keenly follows football.

Carla Mistico, Housekeeping Coordinator

Carla relocated to Tuscany from Naples in 2019 and now lives in Buonconvento with her husband and two sons.

She is dedicated to her role, and quietly ensures the clubhouse and locker rooms are perfectly prepared for Members’ arrival.
